Revamped Fashion High School Workshops - Full Day
The workshops aim to help students:
- Contemplate what their 'Dream Job' might be.
- Express their creativity.
- Learn how to sew, and reconstruct garments.
- Learn about how to make choices which support recycling and reducing waste in the environment.
- Produce items which could potentially lead into entrepreneurial enterprise.
- A full-day workshop is from 9am-3pm.
- Teachers will receive a resource package which includes pre and post workshop lesson ideas.
- The cost of this day $350 for ten students and $25 for each student after that (plus GST).
- Travel costs will be added if school is more than 30 minutes outside of Sydney CBD.
This workshop is divided into three parts. The morning session is an introduction into Revamped Fashion. I share experiences and ideas with the students as we look at examples of Revamped Fashion (both physical and digital) and discuss how I have achieved these results. I also talk about the 'fast fashion' industry and how this effects the environment.
The middle part of the day is practical and where the design and construction takes place. Students are encouraged to jump in and create! The afternoon block consists of students finishing off their creations, and sharing ideas and experiences.
It is ideal if students are capable sewers but not essential. The essence of these workshops is creativity!

Half Day T-Shirt Transformation
The workshops aim to help students:

- Transform a t-shirt to create a new design.
- Learn about how to make choices which support recycling and reducing waste in the environment.
- Produce items which could potentially lead into entrepreneurial enterprise.
- The workshop runs for a three hour block (This can be altered to suit your schools timetable).
- Teachers will receive a resource package which includes pre and post workshop lesson ideas.
- The cost of the half day workshop is $20 per student (plus GST).
- There must be a minimum of 10 students to make a booking.
- This workshop is offered to schools in:
- Sydney and surrounding areas (travel time over 30 minutes one way from the CBD will incur a travel fee).
- Hobart and Southern Tasmania (travel time over 30 minutes one way from the CBD will incur a travel fee).
